Roberto de Bara, MD
Founder, Hickory Oak Consulting, LLC
A graduate of Harvard University Medical School, Rob began his career as an ophthalmologist providing direct patient care at Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States. Desiring to have a much broader impact on patient care, Rob moved into leadership roles and soon realized his real gifts as a healer: his ability to engage and inspire those around him. As an active change agent, Rob successfully designed and implemented dozens of strategic, cultural, operation, and economic initiatives that improved patient care and enhanced the overall health of many healthcare organizations.
At this point in his career, Rob is excited about offering his unique talents to healthcare clients through Hickory Oak Consulting. Fluent in Spanish, Rob meets clients wherever they are on their journey of transformation and provides them with a unique blend of visionary insight, practical expertise, and balanced leadership. To ensure that his mind, heart, and soul remain open at all times, Rob embraces mindfulness practices to help him maintain balance in his work, life, and relationships.
